Who has been on the property.

Most entries on record, both active occupants, and the only operator to fly an aircraft over the property. Has kept spacecraft circling the property continuously since 1997, and first put one in orbit with Mariner 9 in 1971.
First to reach the surface, first to soft-land, first to go silent. Mars 2 and Mars 3 each also left an orbiter over the property in 1971.
Sent an orbiter, a lander, and a rover on its first independent attempt, in 2021. (Its earlier orbiter rode along on Phobos-Grunt and never left Earth orbit.) The orbiter is still overhead. The rover is still asleep.
One crash, one lander that went missing for eleven years, and two orbiters that have photographed the property since 2003 and 2016.
Landed Beagle 2 on Christmas Day 2003, then lost track of it until 2015.
Partner on the Schiaparelli entry. Its own 2011 mission, Phobos-Grunt, was aimed at the outbuilding Phobos and never left Earth orbit.
Reached orbit on its first attempt in 2014 and photographed the property until contact was lost in 2022. Never landed. The Office notes the restraint.
Has monitored the weather on the property from orbit since 2021. No surface entry. The Office has no objection to anyone watching the weather.
Its orbiter Nozomi reached the property in 2003, could not stop, and flew past. The most courteous visit on record.
Joint entries are counted under each participating nation or agency. The European Space Agency is listed as a single party on behalf of its member states, which is how it prefers to be addressed.
